GROWIN is a newly registered public charitable trust working across Rajapalayam. We run hands-on skill, education, health and environment programs for families — and we teach small community groups the everyday systems they need to do good work well.
"வேரோடு வளரும் வளர்ச்சி" — growth that grows with its roots.
Where we're starting
GROWIN was registered in 2025. Rather than overstate where we are, here's exactly what we're building toward in our founding year — and we'll update these numbers as the work progresses.
About GROWIN
Most welfare trusts stop at giving out help. GROWIN was set up to do that and something else: strengthen the small self-help groups, temple committees, school associations and youth clubs that already exist in every village — so that the support they offer their own communities keeps getting stronger, with or without us.
We're based at Dharmapuram, Rajapalayam — Tamil Nadu's "cotton city" — and our first programs focus on skill-building, education support, women's collectives, health outreach, environment and, for partner organisations, plain-language training in governance, record-keeping and digital tools.

What we do
Every program pairs a real, local need with a skill, a habit or a system that stays useful long after we've moved on to the next village.
Hands-on batches in tailoring, mobile & electronics repair and basic computer use — so youth and women in Rajapalayam can earn with dignity, close to home.
Learn moreAfter-school support, spoken English and digital basics for children — because a fair start shouldn't depend on what a family can afford in tuition.
Learn moreWe help women form and run self-help groups: savings discipline, micro-enterprise ideas, and a support network that outlasts any one program.
Learn moreRegular health camps, awareness sessions and referral support, run with local doctors and healthcare volunteers who know the area.
Learn moreTree planting, waste segregation awareness and clean-water initiatives — small actions, repeated often, across the taluk.
Learn moreFree, plain-language workshops for SHGs, temple committees and youth clubs on registration, bookkeeping, fundraising and basic digital tools.
Learn moreHow we work
We start with home visits and panchayat meetings — understanding what a community actually needs, not what's easiest for us to deliver.
Together with local volunteers and partner groups, we shape a program to fit the place — not a template copied from elsewhere.
Training batches, camps and support sessions run with local trainers wherever possible, building local capacity as we go.
We record attendance, outcomes and feedback — and publish what we learn, good or not-so-good, on our transparency page.
What's coming up
No invitation needed — every session below is open to anyone in and around Rajapalayam.
4-week hands-on training for 25 women — machines and material provided.
Smartphone basics, internet safety and Tamil/English typing for ages 14–22.
500 native saplings going in — bring your friends, family, and a water bottle.
Voices from the community
I learned tailoring in four weeks and now I stitch school uniforms for our street — it's the first time I've earned my own money.
GROWIN's workshop helped our temple welfare committee finally open a proper bank account and keep accounts. It's a small thing, but it changed how people trust us.
My daughter attended the digital class and now helps me with online bill payments. Simple things — but they save us a trip to town every week.
