4-week hands-on training for 25 women. Machines and material provided — registration at the venue or via WhatsApp.
Skill & LivelihoodSmartphone basics, internet safety and Tamil/English typing, for ages 14–22. Bring your own phone if you have one.
EducationAn information session for women interested in forming a new self-help group — how it works, savings basics, and what GROWIN can help with.
Women's Collective500 native saplings going in, with a one-year aftercare plan. Bring your friends, family and a water bottle.
EnvironmentGeneral health, BP/sugar screening and eye check-ups with volunteer doctors. Bring any existing prescriptions with you.
HealthA free half-day workshop for any community group on registration, bank accounts and basic bookkeeping. Limited to 2 representatives per group.
Org CapacityDecember 2025
GROWIN was formally registered as a Public Charitable Trust, with its registered office at Dharmapuram, Rajapalayam.
January 2026
A small pilot session with three local self-help groups — the first real test of the Capacity Lab format.
February 2026
22 women began our first tailoring & embroidery batch at the Dharmapuram Community Hall.
March 2026
Marked alongside International Women's Day — Cohort 1 graduates received their certificates and starter kits.
May 2026
Our first health and wellness camp, run with volunteer doctors from the Rajapalayam area.
Our journey so far
GROWIN is young — and we'd rather show you the short, honest version of how we got here than a story that sounds bigger than it is. Every milestone on this timeline actually happened, with real people in Dharmapuram and the surrounding villages.
